Bjorn
Finding Bjørn was just meant to be. My favorite animal has always been a Highland cow and one day, my wife sent me an Instagram post of an adorable, wavy, shaggy, ginger-haired dog lying in a cow pasture wearing a Highland cow hat.
I immediately needed to learn more about the dog. As it turns out, it was an Irish doodle. We'd been talking about adding another fur baby to our family and my wife decided to see if we could find out more information on the breed. During her research, she happened to find a litter in Utah that had puppies available. She reached out (via Instagram!) immediately to learn more about the puppies, virtually meeting Brooke and Clark.
We were a little nervous because we aren't local, so meeting the puppies ahead of time wasn't an option. But Brooke and Clark made us incredibly comfortable and were so communicative about the puppies, answering all of our questions. After seeing pictures and videos of the work they were doing to get the pups accustomed to family life (and even working on training basics like sit!), we knew it was kismet.
Selecting which puppy was pretty immediate. After seeing several pictures and having a conversation with Brooke, I knew that the little boy we chose was going to be my buddy. I decided to name him Bjørn, which is Norwegian for bear and fits nicely with the other Scandinavian names in our family (we're Minnesotan, you betcha). And yes, his name tag even matches my Viking runic compass tattoo, so we'll always find our way home together.
Several months later, we couldn't be happier to have Bjørn home with us. I work from home and he's the perfect officemate; with all of us currently sheltering-in place, he's surrounded by even more love, and frankly I'm kind of sad that I have to share him with the rest of the family.
Thank you, Brooke and Clark - I couldn't ask for a better companion.
Our lives were changed for the better when we brought sweet Rouge (blue boy from Harvey & Zoeys litter) home in August of 2021! Prior to bringing Rouge home, I was in pretty constant communication with the Clark family. They answered my many questions & took time to learn what we were looking for in our fur-baby! They guided us to match us with a perfect puppy whose personality matches ours & our lifestyle.
To say we are obsessed & completely in love with Rouge is an understatement. He has been the perfect companion from day 1. We had a difficult travel process coming back from Utah to Louisiana & he was a CHAMP. He traveled so well in the airport & car & was not anxious at all. He warmed up to my husband & me immediately & made himself
right at home!
He was extremely easy to potty & crate train. He is not nervous or anxious during
thunderstorms, near vacuums, household appliances, hair dryers, lawn mowers, etc. He is great with children & other dogs! He is SO smart!! The Clark family takes amazing care of their puppies, moms & studs! It really shows when you bring the puppy home & all the above rings true.
He really senses our emotions & is very go with the flow. We bring him EVERYWHERE with us & he loves it! His spunky personality makes everyone fall in love with him immediately.
We recently moved from an apartment to a house with a yard. I was a little nervous how he would settle into a new environment/ routine & he didn't skip a beat!
We cannot recommend Utah Irishdoodles enough! We absolutely love our Rouge boy & cannot imagine our lives without him.
